Australian electronic icons Empire of the Sun return to the UK this summer with their spectacular Ask That God Tour, landing at Cardiff Castle for one of just three UK headline dates.

Known for their genre-defying sound and visually jaw-dropping live shows, Empire of the Sun bring their full-scale, immersive production to the heart of Cardiff. Expect a surreal world of kaleidoscopic visuals, theatrical performance and euphoric synth-pop as Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore deliver one of the most ambitious live shows on the touring circuit.

The 2026 tour follows the release of Ask That God, the duo’s first album in eight years. The record marks a bold new chapter, blending existential themes with the dreamlike, nostalgia-tinged sound that has defined Empire of the Sun since day one. Fans can expect tracks from the album alongside era-defining anthems including Walking On A Dream, We Are The People, Alive and High And Low.

Empire of the Sun’s recent global tour sold out headline shows across Europe and North America, including landmark performances in London, Paris, New York and Los Angeles, as well as major festival appearances worldwide. Their return to Cardiff promises a rare chance to experience one of the most visually and sonically distinctive live acts of the last two decades in an iconic open-air setting.
