Garbage & Skunk Anansie – Cardiff Castle, 22 Jun 2026
GARBAGE & SKUNK ANASIE
Monday 22nd June 2026
Cardiff Castle
Special guest: Du Blonde
Two icons of alternative rock join forces for a massive co-headline show at Cardiff Castle next summer.
Garbage and Skunk Anansie will share the stage on Monday 22 June as part of their joint UK headline tour, performing in some of the country’s most stunning outdoor venues. For this special Cardiff date, Garbage will close the night.
Joining the bill is special guest Du Blonde. The alt-rock firebrand – the creative alter ego of multi-instrumentalist Beth Jeans Houghton – has built a reputation for explosive live shows and a fiercely DIY sound, blending fuzz-drenched guitars, punk attitude and power-pop hooks.
Expect a night packed with raw energy, unforgettable anthems and three standout forces of alternative music, led by two of the most commanding frontwomen in rock history – Shirley Manson and Skin.
Formed in the mid-90s, Garbage became known for their fusion of rock, electronica and grunge, producing era-defining hits like Stupid Girl and Only Happy When It Rains. Their bold sound and Manson’s striking vocals cemented them as one of the decade’s most influential alternative acts.
Meanwhile, Skunk Anansie’s explosive mix of hard rock, punk and funk made them one of the UK’s most vital live bands. With hits including Weak, Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good) and Charlie Big Potato, they continue to electrify audiences worldwide — their latest album The Painful Truth hitting the UK Top 10.
