Self Esteem – Cardiff Castle, 24 Jul 2026
SELF ESTEEM
Friday 24th July 2026
Cardiff Castle
Special guests: Kae Tempest
Self Esteem returns to Cardiff next summer for a major outdoor headline show at Cardiff Castle – her biggest Welsh date to date. The Ivor Novello Award-winning singer, songwriter and actor brings the next chapter of A Complicated Woman to the Welsh capital, joined by special guest Kae Tempest.
Fresh off the release of her acclaimed third album and debut book, Self Esteem (Rebecca Lucy Taylor) enters 2026 at full throttle. From the anthemic Focus Is Power – soundtrack to the Lionesses’ Euros victory coverage – to her run as Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Taylor has become one of the UK’s most fearless and celebrated creative voices.
Since breaking through with Prioritise Pleasure, she’s earned Mercury, BRIT and NME nominations, racked up cross-station BBC playlisting, and cemented herself as one of the most compelling performers in modern pop.
Joining her in Cardiff is Kae Tempest – the revered poet, playwright and recording artist whose career spans award-winning theatre, Mercury-nominated albums and internationally acclaimed written works.
Presented by DEPOT Live, Cuffe & Taylor and Clwb Ifor Bach.
