THE STREETS
Friday 31st July 2026
Cardiff Castle
Special guest: Casisdead + Jimothy Lacoste
Mike Skinner and The Streets return to Cardiff for a huge summer show at Cardiff Castle, bringing their iconic album A Grand Don’t Come For Free to life — performed in full, from start to finish, for the very first time.
Originally released in 2004, A Grand Don’t Come For Free became one of the most defining British albums of the 2000s. Built around a cinematic storyline that unfolds track by track, the record blends sharp storytelling, humour and raw honesty across classics including Dry Your Eyes, Blinded by the Lights, Fit But You Know It and Could Well Be In. Over two decades later, fans will finally get to experience the full narrative live on stage.
Joining the bill as special guest is CASISDEAD, the elusive UK rapper known for his cinematic lyricism and dark, synth-driven sound. Widely regarded as one of the most inventive voices in UK rap, his atmospheric live performances have earned him a devoted following.
Opening the night is Jimothy Lacoste, the cult favourite artist whose self-produced tracks and offbeat storytelling have built an international fanbase. With his DIY approach and witty take on everyday life, he brings a unique energy to the lineup.
Set within the historic walls of Cardiff Castle, this one-off performance promises a rare chance to experience one of the UK’s most influential albums exactly as it was intended — live, in full, and in an unforgettable setting.
